Welcome to the Edmonton & District
Pipe Band Web Site.
Edmonton and District Pipe Band is incorporated as the Cragvore Music Society. Wearing the ancient MacLean of Duart
tartan and under the direction of Pipe Major Dave Trew and Lead Drummer Craig Weston, the band consists of a talented
core of more than 45 members fielding a Grade 3 and a Grade 4 band.
EDPB3 have been consistent winners of first place at the Highland Games in Alberta and are the 2010 Alberta Provincial
Champions.
Our collective competition travels include Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec,
Washington, California and Scotland. We are three-time winners of the William
Cathro Memorial Aggregate Trophy at the Pleasanton
Highland Games in California in 2008, 2009 and 2010. We won the North American Pipe Band Championships in 2007.
The band performs at events, concerts and local parades throughout Alberta as well as the Edmonton Celtic Festival,
Canada Day Celebrations and Remembrance Day Services.
